Folderwell Terms of Use
Folderwell is a desktop file organization tool with an optional Download Sources browser extension. It helps users review and approve suggested actions for local files.
1. Overview
By using the Folderwell desktop app or Folderwell Download Sources extension, users agree to these Terms of Use and the Folderwell Privacy Policy. Folderwell is developed by Vellumstead Labs LLC under the public developer brand Vellumstead Labs.
2. File Organization Tool Only
Folderwell suggests names, folders, cleanup review, duplicate grouping, and related organization actions. Users are responsible for deciding whether to approve, keep, undo, export, delete, share, or otherwise manage their files.
3. Local-First Storage
Folderwell stores app metadata locally on the user's computer. The optional extension sends explicit download context only to Folderwell on that same computer. Folderwell does not provide cloud backup, account sync, antivirus scanning, legal compliance, or guaranteed recovery of local files or metadata. Users are responsible for backups of important files.
4. Purchases And Licenses
When public checkout opens, paid plans will be sold through Lemon Squeezy. Folderwell will offer a 14-day Pro trial, followed by Free use with up to two active review folders and 25 file decisions, or a paid Pro license. A paid license may be active on up to three computers.
Monthly and Annual subscriptions renew for their stated period. Cancellation stops future renewal while access continues through the already-paid period. Lifetime is a one-time license that includes all Folderwell 1.x updates; it does not promise a future major version.
Refund requests are accepted within 14 days of purchase, subject to published exceptions and applicable law. Lemon Squeezy and its payment processors handle payment methods, taxes, subscription management, and approved refunds. The price and final transaction terms are shown before purchase.
5. Acceptable Use
Users agree not to misuse Folderwell, including by violating laws, infringing rights, attempting to bypass license controls, reverse engineering the app where prohibited, or using Folderwell to manage files they are not allowed to access.
6. No Guarantee Of Results
Folderwell is provided as a practical organization utility. Suggestions may be incomplete or incorrect. Users should review actions before approval and keep backups of important files.
7. Disclaimers And Limitation Of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Folderwell is provided as is and as available without warranties of any kind. Vellumstead Labs LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of files, data, profits, goodwill, or other losses arising from use of or inability to use Folderwell.
