Start with the extension's connection and plan status. If a live page changes, the Check copied text fallback keeps the core review available without sharing the conversation with Vellumstead Labs. License support never needs chat content.
Quick start
Select the AsAsked icon in Chrome and confirm the popup shows the extension version and local-only mode.
Select Try a guided example, then Stream response. Open the result and try preparing the unsent repair draft.
Open AsAsked settings, go to History and site access, and confirm Enable on ChatGPT is selected before testing a completed response.
Any repair or clarification draft is placed in the message box or copied. AsAsked never activates Send.
Troubleshooting
Wait until the response has finished and check the popup's connection status. If AsAsked cannot recognize the page safely, its local circuit breaker hides stale results and stops automatic checking for that document without changing saved data. Use Check copied text to continue locally.
The launch candidate supports ChatGPT only. Open Check copied text to paste synthetic or non-sensitive request and response text into the memory-only checker.
Read and edit it before sending. If the active composer already contains text, AsAsked should leave it unchanged and offer a copy fallback.
Open AsAsked settings, go to Export and delete, choose Delete all local data, and confirm. Saved history remains off afterward unless you explicitly enable it again. Previously downloaded files and clipboard copies must be removed separately.
New audits resume at the next UTC month. Existing local data remains available. Opening results, correcting verdicts, and preparing drafts do not consume another audit.
Open Plan and license to review the last validation and fixed grace date. Refresh online or use the purchase-recovery steps below.
Plan and license
Checkout is not open yet. The initial public offer is approved for people who are at least 18 years old, located in the United States, and using the English-language product; it does not include a free trial. These steps describe the Personal launch workflow so the activation, cancellation, and recovery boundaries are reviewable before purchase.
Paste the purchase key once in the extension's Plan and license section. Confirm the plan, validation time, and grace date. The raw key should no longer be visible afterward.
Use the Lemon Squeezy customer portal or order email. Do not send support the purchase key, receipt, or refresh handle.
Remove the license from a browser you no longer use before activating another. If a lost browser still occupies a slot, request an activation reset with the content-free support code.
Cancel renewal in the customer portal; Personal remains active through the signed paid-through time. A full refund may be requested within 14 calendar days after the applicable purchase, with no usage-based eligibility test. Lemon Squeezy processes refunds. A completed refund ends Personal access but preserves local data. See the refund terms.
A trusted receipt can preserve Personal for no more than seven days after the last successful online validation. The extension cannot move that deadline forward while offline.
Removing the license clears Personal from this browser immediately. If remote deactivation fails, contact support before reusing the installation slot.
Privacy-safe diagnosis
The popup's Download structural report action creates a local JSON report with bounded page-structure counts and allowlisted health codes. It excludes conversation text, URLs, page titles, screenshots, cookies, account details, selectors, DOM paths, storage contents, and raw exceptions.
Content-free compatibility status is a separate optional choice. If enabled, AsAsked uses only GET /v1/compatibility, with credentials and referrers omitted, to receive a signed restriction-only status. The request carries no conversation, page, account, browser, license, or installation identifier. The status can pause an affected extension version, but it cannot deliver selectors or executable code; fixes still require a higher Chrome Web Store version.
Contact
Email the extension and Chrome versions, the content-free support or health code if available, and a short description without private conversation text. For a refund or billing request, write from the purchase email address or include the Lemon Squeezy order ID. Never send a license key. Vellumstead Labs targets a first response within two business days and a resolution within five business days; provider, legal, or payment-network review can take longer.
The public business mailing address will be inserted before checkout opens.
